Opening The Beauty Bark marks a heartfelt venture for us as first-time business owners.
Our deep passion for animals, a combined 15+ years of experience and our desire to provide them with the best care possible have inspired us to embark on this journey. We understand the special bond between pets and their owners, and we want to create a warm and welcoming space where both pets and their humans feel at ease. By expanding our services to both old and new clients, we hope to share our love for animals and contribute positively to our community.

My name is Anna Marie Smith, and I'm proud to be the Owner and Groomer at The Beauty Bark. With over a decade of experience in dog grooming, I’m a Certified Pet Stylist and Pet CPR certified. While I specialize in all types of haircuts and styles for dogs, I’m also experienced in grooming cats and rabbits. I have a special love for Schnauzers and all breeds of Spaniels.
My professional philosophy is centered around gentle, humane, non-forced grooming—always prioritizing the happiness and health of our furry clients. When it comes to calming nervous pups, I firmly believe that patience and meeting them where they’re at is key!
Outside of work, I cherish movie nights with my four kids, love getting lost in a good book, and enjoy traveling with my family—especially during our annual beach vacation and camping trip.
Fun fact: I’m originally from Michigan. I personally have five dogs and two cats, and honestly, my dog pack makes no sense—I've got a 14-year-old English Cocker Spaniel, two 10-year-old Chihuahuas, a 4-year-old Scottish Terrier, and a 2-year-old Pitbull. It’s a full house, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Just a friendly reminder to all pet parents out there: always prioritize vitality over vanity when it comes to grooming your furry companions!

With my ICPG Certification and Pet CPR training, I prioritize safety and comfort above all else. My specialty lies in grooming long-haired breeds like Poodles, Doodles, and Bichons, ensuring they leave my salon looking and feeling their best. Beyond just grooming, I focus on building trust with nervous pets, using patience and gentle techniques to make the experience stress-free.
When I'm not grooming, you'll find me getting crafty with DIY projects or exploring new eateries—I'm a bit of a foodie, to be honest! And of course, I've got my own fur crew—Tucker, Tytus, and Peaches—who were all rescues and bring me so much joy. If you're looking for a calm and caring groomer who puts your pet's well-being first, I'm your gal. Let's make your pup's next grooming session a positive one!

At home, I'm lucky to have two amazing companions of my own: Scooby, my playful 6-year-old Labrador Retriever who can't get enough of squeaky toys, and Lady, my spirited 3-year-old Beagle who's always on the hunt for squirrels. When I'm not showering my pups with love, you can find me indulging in my hobbies, like catching the latest flick at the movies, trying out new restaurants, diving into video games, and unwinding with some arts and crafts!

I absolutely love grooming all breeds, but I specialize in double-coated breeds like Golden Retrievers, Great Pyrenees, and Pomeranians. The silhouette haircut has truly captured my heart since I first started in this field. My professional philosophy revolves around creating a calm, gentle, and stress-free environment for every pet. I believe that patience is essential for fostering a safe space where pets feel loved and cared for. When working with nervous dogs, I take my time, allowing them to establish trust and ensuring they feel comfortable with each step of the grooming process. At home, I’m a proud pet mom to three rescues: two sweet dogs, Nova and Jezzy, and a playful cat named Ivan. They bring so much joy to my life, especially after a long day at work. Outside of grooming, I enjoy cozy movie nights with my husband and getting lost in a good book for hours.

My passion for animals began at ten when I started fostering and rescuing them. I have three fabulous cats at home: Mikado, my spirited orange buddy; Nalbert, who’s always hunting for snacks; and sassy little Amelie, who loves to give side-eyes.
Working with animals has always been my dream, and I’m on my way to becoming a veterinarian. I feel a special connection with dogs, particularly larger breeds like huskies and shepherds, and I hope to have one of my own one day. When I’m not caring for furry friends, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, crocheting, drawing, and diving into fascinating topics while pursuing my biomedical science degree. I'm especially passionate about chemistry, biology, and animals!

My favorite part of the job is the awesome team I work with and, of course, all the sweet fur-babies. I have a soft spot for Dachshunds! In my free time, I love exploring Houston and trying new food spots. Oh, and fun fact—I’m originally from Virginia!

Hi, I’m Kimberly Mink and I am the Doggie Daycare Attendant! I’ve been working in pet care for about five months! I have a full house—4 dogs, 3 cats, and a fish tank. Lady Bug is our summer-loving swimmer who rides the jet ski, PeeWee and Gracie are siblings (PeeWee keeps the squirrels out while Gracie is the sweetheart), and Bella, the youngest and biggest, keeps us safe from mailmen and FedEx drivers! Mufasa is my oldest cat enjoying her retirement, while Kali loves sunbathing and Whiskers climbs the roof to watch the world (and hunt squirrels).
I started working with animals because it’s fun, rewarding, and there’s nothing better than being greeted with happy tails every day. My favorite part of the job is all the love, laughter, and joy from our furry clients. I can’t pick a favorite breed—I truly love them all! Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, beach days, evening walks with my girls, sewing up tattered clothes, and fun fact—I can write left-handed! I’m also a proud grandma!
